Gordon brings over 27 years of financial services experience, with the last 14 years serving as a senior sales leader within a national insurance marketing organization. Prior to focusing on the insurance world, he led two different wholesaling financial firms that focused on trading securities on behalf of their clients. His career began as a NASDAQ market maker, where he met Chris on the first day and quickly became close friends. He has passed the Series 4, 7, 9/10, 24, 31, 55, 63, and 65 FINRA licensing exams. He also holds an active Life and Health license in over 25 states.
Coming from a blue-collar family in a blue-collar area, Gordon witnessed first-hand as pensions were replaced by the 401k. While the 401k introduced portability to the retirement account, it also burdened the saver with longevity risks and portfolio management risks, two major retirement hurdles that many are not prepared to handle. Gordon enjoys being able to communicate complicated financial terms in an easy to digest manner, with a focus on preserving a client’s life savings so that it will last in retirement.
Originally from the Detroit, Michigan area, he continues to believe that it is only a matter of time for his beloved Detroit Lions. While technically not from South Detroit unfortunately, the office must listen to his rendition of Don’t Stop Believing or some other song on a daily (hourly?) basis. In addition to his musical, vocal contributions to the office, he loves to cook and share his latest recipe mashups with the employees. Gordon and his wife Stacee, along with their four kids, live in Canton, Georgia where they are actively involved in the children's sports activities.
